2012
Poker Gives is planning the third annual National Poker Month (NPM) fundraising campaign and it will take place in September 2012. The mission of NPM is to generate money for our chosen charities and create awareness of the need for giving within the poker community. We would appreciate your cardrooms participation by choosing between the following four options:
: Offer a $5 charity add-on to
your daily or weekly tournaments for the entire month of September; all
add-ons will be donated to Poker Gives. Players would be given
additional chips for this add-on.
: As a corporate wide initiative, the
property would donate a minimum of $1 from the tournament entry fee for
each entrant into every tournament during the month of September.
: Select one day during the month of
September to host a charity poker tournament. Half of the proceeds from
that event will go to Poker Gives and half will remain in the prize
pool. The buy-in amount will be chosen by each individual cardroom,
but we recommend a range of $50-$100 and perhaps have
$50 optional re-buys and an add-on.
: Come up with a fundraising plan of your own. Of course you
are welcome to combine any of the above options.
